RTS opens entries for Young Technologist of the Year Award 2018

The Royal Television Society is now accepting entries for the RTS/Atos Young Technologist of the Year Award 2018.

Aimed at engineers in the early stages of their career in broadcasting or its related industries, the RTS/Atos Young Technologist of the Year Award celebrates the new talent making its mark on the industry.

The winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to IBC 2018 both the exhibition and the conference while the runner-up will receive the Coffey Award and a technical book of choice.

The winner of last year's award was Kathleen Gray, guarantee broadcast engineer at NEP UK Broadcast Services.

The Young Technologist of the Year Award aims to advance education in the science, practice, technology and art of television and its allied fields.

There is no age limit for the award, however entrants must be in the first five years of their career in television and its related industries. The winner will be presented with the award at the RTS Craft and Design Awards, which take place on 26th November.

To apply for the RTS/Atos Young Technologist Of The Year Award 2018, applicants can download a form via the RTS website.
