The River has added several star actors to its cast, including celebrated actress Teboho Khalo for its season finale.

Award-winning actress Teboho Khalo is best known for her on-screen character of Puleng on e.tv's drama series Rhythm City.

THE RIVER ADDS EIGHT STAR ACTORS FOR THE SEASON FINALE She will star as a resourceful and manipulative Makhosi. However, Kaya 959 has it that the drama series has not only added Khalo to its star-studded cast.

Kamo Modisakeng will star as Bonolo, while former Isibaya star Ayanda Borotho will breathe life into Zanemvula Shange.
The River. Image from DStv Showmax However, on the other hand, Nandi Nyembe will wow viewers with her unmatched flair as Stella Shange. Nkanyiso Bhengu will make the much-talked-about return as the charismatic Pastor Mdluli, while Thapelo Sebogodi will be the unforgettable Khabzela.

However, according to spoiler alerts, Nokuthula Mavuso will kiss her on-screen character of Angelina goodbye in a dramatic exit set to be aired on Monday, 31 July,
Legendary thespian Themba Mtshali Jones will also join the drama series as Thandeka Dlamini, while Khutjo Green will wow viewers as Paballo Motaung.
TELENOVELA CANCELLED AFTER SIX SEASONS No doubt, with its star-studded cast, the drama series is heading for an epic season finale. On 4 February, M-Net confirmed that the Tshedza Pictures produced telenovela The River will end with the current 6th season.

Shirley Adonisi, M-Net director for local entertainment channels, said: The final season is going to be the show's most epic one yet.
Showrunner Phathu Makwarela added: We feel the time is right to bring the story of these beloved characters to an end, on our own terms and when viewers still treasure the show.
