
FICARQ 2017, fusion of cinema and architecture in a single festival starts El leit motiv de este festival que tiene lugar en Santander del 4 al 8 de julio es investigar las relaciones entre el cine, la arquitectura y las nuevas tecnolog as.
Este martes en la sede del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Cantabria (COACAN) ha tenido lugar la inauguraci n del Festival de Cine y Arquitectura, FICARQ 2017. En el acto, se ha llevado a cabo la firma del Hermanamiento de FICARQ y el Festival Internacional de Cine y Arquitectura de Rotterdam (AFFR), por parte de Ana Muriel, directora de FICARQ y Jacob van Rijs, director de AFFR, contando con la presencia de la Alcaldesa de Santander, Gema Igual Ortiz; as como de Miriam D az Herrera, concejala de Cultura de la ciudad; Jos Ignacio Villamor, Decano del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Cantabria, COACAN y Miguel ngel Men ndez del Fueyo, fundador de FICARQ.
En su intervenci n, Gema Igual destac el regreso a la capital c ntabra, del Festival, para reforzar la ya intensa programaci n de los veranos santanderinos y abundar en el proyecto en el que est inmerso Santander, en torno a hitos arquitect nicos como el Centro Bot n .
La alcaldesa hizo especial nfasis en que el anfiteatro ubicado junto a este edificio emblem tico (el nico proyectado por Renzo Piano en Espa a), acoger una de las secciones el evento: el ciclo de ciencia ficci n Mundos Virtuales as como proyecciones al aire libre en horario nocturno, de t tulos como Blade Runner, Tron, Matrix Reloaded o Interstellar, en un entorno inigualable. El festival lo completan conferencias, un foro de direcci n de arte y varios talleres a cargo de expertos en arquitectura.
Igual tambi n destac que la ciudad de Santander, junto a FICARQ , fueron protagonistas del proyecto que represent a Espa a en la Bienal del Dise o de Londres en 2016, mientras la Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia promocionaba Santander como modelo mundial de integraci n puerto-ciudad .
Cine, arquitectura y nuevas tecnolog as
Por su parte Ana Muriel, directora de FICARQ, subray que el leit motiv de este festival es investigar las relaciones entre el cine, la arquitectura y las nuevas tecnolog as . Asimismo afirm que muchos j venes arquitectos se han visto abocados a buscar nuevas salidas profesionales y han encontrado en el cine, la escenograf a, la direcci n art stica y los efectos especiales VFX un buen aliado. Del mismo modo, el sector audiovisual est entrando en un profundo proceso de cambio con tecnolog as como la realidad virtual o la realidad aumentada, que est n cambiando la forma de narrar y contar historias. Los arquitectos muy habituados a la construcci n virtual y el 3D encuentran sinergias e intereses comunes con el sector audiovisual. En FICARQ se trata de facilitarles un campo de experimentaci n, di logo, debate y aprendizaje ante esta panor mica creativa , que est eclosionando en muchos pa ses del mundo a la vez .
A continuaci n tuvo lugar la conferencia inaugural a cargo del director del Festival de Roterdam Jacob van Rijs, quien muestra a trav s de peque os v deos diferentes propuestas arquitect nicas. Desde ciudades del futuro con coche voladores y todo lo que ello conlleva, nuevas formas de acceder a la viviendas, de comunicaciones entre barrios pasando por nuevos usos de autopistas abandonadas, ahora conquistadas por el peat n convirti ndose en un paseo verde hasta la intervenci n de cascos hist ricos, planteando una tipolog a tradicional pero construida con otro material, el vidrio, lo que dota al edificio de una imagen completamente diferente.
