To do that, they require storage platforms that can deliver that content on demand with minimal total cost of ownership thus bringing operational and financial benefits to the organization. Traditional archive methods do not provide the speed of access required and are difficult to manage which is why organization are looking at cloud models, private and hybrid, to satisfy their workflow demands. Object Matrix has helped many customers including the BBC gain instant access to sports archive content since 2010. The company's solutions are used by DAZN, MSG-N and Miami Heat in a variety of workflows from nearline and backup in Avid workflows to implementing a DR and business continuity solution. Its flagship product was also used by the BBC and Channel 4 in the UK during the 2016 games in Rio de Janerio Brazil acting as a nearline in EVS and Avid workflows.
Object Matrix is currently adding more functionality to their MatrixStore and Vision products that enable sports organizations to implement hybrid archive workflows whilst benefiting from a more intelligent storage platform (automated IMF workflows and single pane of glass content management). Hybrid storage workflows provide the power, intelligence, and security of on-premises object storage that's combined with the elasticity and global collaboration afforded by public cloud platforms.
