Marquis to Show Enterprise Version of EDIT BRIDGE at NAB 07

Integration solution for Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Interplay

10 April 2017: Marquis Broadcast, developer of advanced workflow productivity tools for the broadcast and media industry, has announced it will demonstrate the latest Enterprise version of EDIT BRIDGE at NAB 2017, for the first time on booth SL9030. EDIT BRIDGE is an award-winning integration application for Adobe Premiere Pro CC, part of Adobe Creative Cloud , and Avid Interplay and the new Enterprise scale-out capability now includes advanced user rights and permissions, usability enhancements and crucially, enterprise licensing which means multiple EDIT BRIDGE instances can now be run on virtual machines.

Paul Glasgow, sales and marketing director, Marquis Broadcast explains: EDIT BRIDGE allows non-Avid editors to connect to an Avid Interplay based system so content is discoverable and editable in other applications. The solution is currently in use and valued by customers across the globe.

A key advantage of the new Enterprise version is that EDIT BRIDGE requires just one Interplay Web Services connection for all editors concurrently connected to the EDIT BRIDGE server, it aggregates all requests and presents these as a single consolidated stream to Interplay, confirms Glasgow. This reduces the communications demands on Avid Interplay compared with multiple individually connected editors.

This is an important development as given appropriate network and scaling, it will enable potentially hundreds of Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects CC and Apple FCP X users to connect to Interplay ISIS/NEXIS at the same time, continues Glasgow. As a result, it is the ideal solution for large broadcasters, universities and production centres that have both Avid Interplay and hundreds (or thousands) of desktops running Adobe Premiere Pro CC or Apple FCP X.

At NAB 2017, Marquis Broadcast will also release an enterprise version of Worx4 Pro, a media discovery tool for Adobe Premiere Pro CC that was first introduced at IBC last year. Worx4 Pro identifies where all the media in a project is stored and ensures that all associated media is online and saved with the project. Glasgow confirms: This really helps with operations and project integrity meaning editors never need deliver a project with missing media.
