It's #PreSonusFAMFriday with Andy Bond!

If you don't recognize this guy as a PreSonus face, it's because we pay him to be on the other side of the camera. Andy Bond is PreSonus' Maker of Cool Videos, and has been voted Mr. Positivity in our Annual Superlatives for five years running.

Husband, dad, business owner, full time employee-how does one do it all?

With PreSonus' Eris E5 Studio Monitors. Duh.

How long have you worked for PreSonus?

I've worked for PreSonus 5 years in January.

What's your official job title?

I'm the Senior Video Producer. So I lead the planning, filming, and editing of all of our videos (new products, training, marketing, sales, webcasts, events, and artist testimonials).

What's your favorite thing about your job?

It's very diverse. I get to be in a little bit of everything. Sometimes we travel and meet artists like MuteMath, Nothing More, Def Leppard, and others who love PreSonus products. Other times we are producing the launch videos for new products or traveling to NAMM. I've even filmed a short documentary about the Studio One team in Germany-this job is pretty fun at times.

What was the first 8 track, cassette, CD, digital download you purchased?

The first CD I remember buying was probably Pinkerton by Weezer. I was 8 or 9 years old I think.

Who's your go to band or artist when you can't decide on something to listen to?

My wife and I are huge Thrice and Dustin Kensrue fans and that's probably our go-to.

Everyone has a side gig, what's yours?

I own a growing video production company called Wildfire Cinematography (@WildfireCinema) with my partner Preston Jensen. We have been mostly focusing on weddings since we have weekends available and I like to think our work is really good. We also produce content for other small businesses within Louisiana.

What do you love about the Eris Studio Monitors?

Even though I'm not a musician, I use a lot of PreSonus gear. Eris studio monitors are excellent for video editing-you can calibrate to your space with tuning controls and they sound perfect. I use E8's in my editing suite and E5's when editing at home.

What other products do you have?

I pair my studio monitors with a Temblor T10 subwoofer. I also use a Central Station, FireStudio Project, and use Studio One when I need it.

Why did you choose this as your favorite?

I'm not really a musician-I can play acoustic guitar and sing, but like to be behind the camera more. So for me, PreSonus is best in the editing suite and the Eris speakers couldn't be more perfect for my application.

Tell us the coolest thing you've done working at PreSonus.

My favorite video is the launch video for the CS18AI. We rented a full warehouse and got to be really creative. Outside of that, the Studio One 3 launch went really great. We got to fly to Germany to interview the developers, and then Los Angeles to interview several prominent producers using Studio One 3, and launched it all in one big day during PreSonus LIVE.

What are you currently working on? What's next for you?

I'm currently planning several shoots to show off individual features of our new StudioLive Series III Mixers and a new video all about Studio One 3 Mix Engine capabilities. Of course, we are always making new products too, but I can't tell you about those yet.
