Austausch zwischen Motorsportexperten und Studenten in Herzogenaurach
Schaeffler lud Formula-Student-Germany-Teams zu Motorsport Academy ein
60 begeisterte Studenten von zw lf deutschen Hochschulen im Austausch mit Fachleuten aus dem Motorsport und der Automobilindustrie: Die Motorsport Academy in der Zentrale von Schaeffler war ein voller Erfolg - und eine optimale Vorbereitung f r die zw lf von Schaeffler unterst tzten Teams, die bei der Formula Student Germany (FSG) auf dem Hockenheimring im Sommer ihre F higkeiten unter Beweis stellen werden.
Nach der offiziellen Begr ung durch Personalvorstand Kurt Mirlach er ffnete Dr. Simon Opel, Assistent des Vorstands Technologie bei Schaeffler, mit Harry Unflath, Marketingleiter bei Audi Sport ABT, den Reigen aus Fachvortr gen, Videoclips und Workshops mit einem Einblick in das Engagement von Schaeffler in der Formel E. Bei der Formel E will Schaeffler nicht nur Marketingpartner sein , sagte Opel. Uns geht es vor allem um die Technologie, die dabei zum Einsatz kommt. Wir wollen bei der Formel E das Team mit unserer langj hrigen Erfahrung im Bereich der Elektromobilit t unterst tzen und selbst dazulernen. Ab der n chsten Saison wird Schaeffler zusammen mit ABT in die technische Entwicklung bei der Formel E einsteigen. Dr. Simon Opel nutzte daher die Gelegenheit und ermunterte sein motorsportbegeistertes Publikum dazu, sich als Nachwuchsingenieure bei Schaeffler zu bewerben.
Wie wichtig das Thema Motorsport f r Schaeffler ist, machte auch Gesellschafterin Maria-Elisabeth Schaeffler-Thumann in ihrer Ansprache an die Studenten deutlich: Motorsport ist faszinierend und begeistert. F r Schaeffler ist er aber gleichzeitig eine optimale Plattform, um Technologien weiterzuentwickeln und zu erproben. Gerade unser Engagement in der Formel E ist daher ein Beitrag zum technischen Fortschritt des Automobils.
Know-how und Fachwissen direkt von der Rennstrecke lieferte bei der Motorsport Academy Schaeffler-Markenbotschafter Armin Schwarz. Der erfahrene Pilot kennt sich auf den h rtesten Offroad-Strecken der Welt aus und wei , welche technischen Anforderungen ein guter Rennwagen erf llen muss. Gemeinsam mit weiteren Schaeffler-Botschaftern wie dem DTM-Champion von 2013 Mike Rockenfeller, Porsche-Werksfahrer Timo Bernhard und Formel-E-Pilot Daniel Abt stand Schwarz bei einer Podiumsdiskussion Rede und Antwort. Die Piloten gaben einen Einblick hinter die Kulissen ihrer Arbeit und brachten die geballte Faszination des Motorsports in das Auditorium des Herzogenauracher Konferenzzentrums. Beim
Motorsport geht es zum einen nat rlich um Erfolg und harte Zweik mpfe. Gleichzeitig bleibt es aber ein Teamsport. Mechaniker, Ingenieure und weitere Teammitglieder sind mit viel Herzblut dabei. Das macht es f r den Fahrer zu einer Ehre, einen Rennwagen zu steuern , sagte Mike Rockenfeller.
Dr. Raphael Fischer, Leiter f r Innovationsprojekte bei Schaeffler, teilte seine Erfahrungen als FSG-Juror mit den Teams und gab ihnen konkrete Tipps f r ein erfolgreiches Bestehen vor der Jury, ehe sich die Studenten in vier Workshops mit verschiedenen Themenstellungen auseinandersetzten. Dabei wurden verschiedene Seiten des professionellen Motorsports beleuchtet: Rallye-Fahrer Armin Schwarz schulte die Teilnehmer beispielsweise zum Thema Marketing und Sponsorengewinnung, w hrend Dr. Raphael Fischer ber Technologie und Wissenstransfer im Team sprach. So sammelten die FSG-Teams unter Anleitung der Experten neue Ideen f r ihre eigenen Projekte.
Vom 28. Juli bis zum 2. August wird es f r die ambitionierten Jung-Ingenieure dann ernst. Mit ihren eigens entwickelten und aufgebauten Rennwagen treten sie bei der von Schaeffler gesponserten Formula Student Germany auf dem Hockenheimring gegen Studententeams aus der ganzen Welt an. In mehreren Wettbewerben werden Disziplinen- und Gesamtsieger ermittelt. Schaeffler unterst tzt die zw lf Teams mit Bauteilen und Know-how - jedoch liegt vom Businessplan ber die Finanzierung und das Design bis hin zum technischen Feinschliff der Autos die Gesamtverantwortung in den H nden der Nachwuchsfachkr fte.
