Spectra Logic today announced a partnership with Veeam Software, the innovative provider of solutions that deliver Availability for the Modern Data Center , to offer customers and partners a viable alternative to their backup and data protection needs, from Gartner Data Center, Infrastructure & Operations Management Conference 2014.

The service offerings, available for Spectra Logic T-Series tape libraries, Spectra nTier Verde disk appliance and combined Veeam Availability SuiteTM v8, creates a unique approach to addressing exponential data growth in the modern data center.

When working with deep data storage, many organizations face the same data protection challenges regardless of their size, including meeting virtual workload demands and getting offsite backups for disaster recovery purposes, said Spectra Logic's CTO, Matt Starr. With this new partnership, Spectra Logic and Veeam are able to provide a seamless solution, combining the best in archival storage with the best in backup and recovery to protect data efficiently, securely and affordably.
