125 alternate universes exist, with the Multiverse Authority', MVA, regulating the interdimensional travel through the detection of space-time wormholes. A former interdimensional law enforcer, Gabriel YuLaw, is forced to kill one of his alter-egos in self defense, and this accidentally leads him to discover that the life energy is redistributed among the surviving versions of him.

His former partner Harry Rodecker (Delroy Lindo) and his new partner Funsch (Jason Statham) attempt to capture YuLaw who has gone renegade now, hunting down the other versions of himself till he has killed 123 selves from the existing 125; leaving himself and one single alternate self existing in our universe (the Magna Universe)- Gabriel Gabe' Law, who works in the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department.

For two years now Gabe' has been experiencing unexplained increases in strength, speed and mental ability, but neither he, nor his wife TK (Carla Gugino) can explain why. YuLaw understands that killing Gabe would make him the most powerful being in existence
