Babylon is a city that you might've heard about from the Bible - or as the name of rapper Zheani Sparkes' tour through the United States.

But where is the city located?
Is it still called the city of Babylon today?
Here's what to know about the city, from its rich ancient history to its electric rap-rock future.

Is Babylon in the United States? The short answer: no.

Babylon is mentioned in the Bible several times. Isaiah, Peter, and Revelation all reference the city. More than 100 verses talk about the city of Babylon in ancient times.

Today, it still exists - but with another name.
Where is the city of Babylon? According to Maps of the World, the city of Babylon is called Iraq today.

Ancient Mesopotamia is the larger name for where the city would have been. Babylon was a large city for its time, famed for industry and innovation.
Important rules, like Hammurabi's Code, dates back to ancient times.

Just like the Ten Commandments, it said thou shalt' and thou shalt not' as a measure of morality for the time.
The Babylon USA tour Babylon is the name chosen for Zheani Sparkes' tour through the United States.
The rapper made headlines with her tracks, including I Hate People on the Internet' - and some of the tour dates have already sold out.
