The Quirino Awards nominees announced Latin American animation titlesIn total, 54 works from ten countries have been nominated in nine categories of Quirino Animation Awards. Spain and Mexico are the countries most represented, with 21 and 12 nominations, respectively.

The Quirino of the Ibero-American animation Awards revealed the works nominated in nine categories of its first edition, It will be held on April 7 on the island of Tenerife (Spain).

It emphasizes the plurality of countries representedA total of ten (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Portugal and Uruguay), led by Spain (21 nominations), Mexico (12) and Brazil (6). The 54 nominated works will be evaluated by an international jury, which will select three finalists in each category. The list of finalists will be published in February.

Coproduction ForumOn the other hand, Quirino Iberoamericana Awards Animation hold open calls for participation in the Coproduction Forum and the International Congress, the two professional activities taking place on 6 and 7 April.

The call to Coproduction Forum, aimed at companies, producers or Latin American channels or television interest in Latin America, is open until 25 January. The meeting will bring together professionals from the region in B2B meetings, workshops and presentations of the state of the industry in different territories.

The International Congress, which seeks to raise an interdisciplinary exchange between academia and the profession around the animation and technology, receive proposals until 24 January. The event will feature special animation historian, teacher and writer Giannalberto Bendazzi, who will give the inaugural conference on 6 April.
