En effet, plus de 100 millions d'utilisateurs dans le monde ont cout au moins un contenu audio en fran ais entre ao t 2023 et juillet 2024. Ce ph nom ne s'explique par la richesse et la diversit de ces contenus, ainsi que par les efforts de Spotify pour favoriser l'exportation de musique et de podcasts francophones gr ce des programmes comme RADAR.
En mati re de musique, la French touch avait d j conquis le monde dans les ann es 90, gr ce au succ s de plusieurs artistes fran ais sur la sc ne internationale. Mais aujourd'hui, outre les chansons francophones interpr t es par des artistes de l'Hexagone, les hitmakers du Qu bec, de Belgique et d'Alg rie font galement danser le monde.
ce jour, 39 millions d'utilisateurs de Spotify ont ajout au moins un titre chant en fran ais une liste de lecture personnelle. Et depuis 2019, les flux de musique francophone ont bondi de 94%, ce qui indique que les sons et les rythmes cr s par les artistes des pays francophones s duisent un public de plus en plus large.
En l'espace de 12 mois, plus de 83 millions d'heures de musique francophone ont r sonn dans plus de 180 pays sur Spotify. Cela repr sente une moyenne de 50 minutes d' coute de musique par mois pour le public non francophone et si l'on ajoute les podcasts et les livres audio en fran ais, cette consommation mensuelle moyenne atteint quatre heures.

Parlez-nous de la sc ne musicale francophone et de son succ s fulgurant. La musique francophone a toujours fait r ver le monde entier, mais les contraintes physiques n'ont pas toujours permis certains artistes de pouvoir s'exporter facilement et rencontrer leur public aux quatres coins de la plan te. Spotify a jou un r le cl ces derni res ann es dans la mont e en puissance et l'export d'artistes francophones de nombreux pays; nos quipes ditoriales sur les diff rents continents changent r guli rement sur les talents mergents et plus confirm s qui pourraient plaire nos utilisateurs, ce qui permet d'int grer ces artistes dans des playlists locales hors des march s francophones. Cela donne de la visibilit , permet d' tre cout et d couvert par d'autres audiences. C'est d'ailleurs tout l'honneur des artistes francophones et de la puissance de cette musique que de mettre en sc ne leurs pairs du monde entier, comme Dua Lipa et Ang le avec Fever , ou Aya Nakamura et Stormzy avec Plus Jamais , ou plus r cemment Aya Nakamura et Ayra Starr avec Hyp . Et puis parfois, on a une artiste comme Yseult, qui se retrouve en haut de nos classements monde pendant plusieurs semaines avec un titre en collaboration avec d'autres artistes internationales comme ce fut le cas avec Alibi. C'est la premi re artiste fran aise f minine int grer le Billboard 200 depuis plus de 30 ans, la derni re c' tait Jane Birkin! C'est l'un de mes derniers coups de c ur et je vous invite d couvrir son album, Mental, qui vient tout juste de sortir.
Est-ce que l'on peut dire qu'il y a un continent, ou une r gion du monde qui appr cie plus la musique francophone qu'une autre? C'est a qui est le plus frappant toutes les r gions du monde s'emparent de la richesse et de la diversit de la sc ne musicale francophone. Ce que l'on remarque, c'est que d'un lieu un autre, on ne retrouve pas forc ment les m mes sonorit s ou les m mes artistes qui vont vibrer avec une audience. En Am rique Latine, l' lectro-pop ou l'indie en fran ais sont particuli rement appr ci s de nos utilisateurs, incarn e par Stromae, Patrick Watson ou Ad le Castillon. Si l'on regarde l'Asie Pacifique, on retrouve Aya Nakamura ou Gims par exemple, qui sont plus sur des registres de RnB, pop ou vari t fran aise. Il y a vraiment un public qui adh re et pouse la langue fran aise partout, et c'est quelque chose que l'on constate maintenant depuis plusieurs ann es. Il y a une forte progression d' coutes de musique chant e en fran ais sur Spotify, qui va de pair avec notre d veloppement dans de nombreux march s, et la barri re de la langue n'en est plus une.
