First demonstration of DVB-T2 global 4K HEVC and mobile services on a single channel En IBC, DVB lleva a cabo una demo pionera sobre DVB-T2 en Ultra Alta Definici n y desvela el trabajo realizado para incorporar la ltima versi n de las extensiones CI Plus (com nmente llamadas CI Plus V1.4) en la pr xima especificaci n DVB-CI Plus.
Quienes visitan estos d as IBC en msterdam puede terne la oportunidad de asistir en el stand de DVB a una demostraci n pionera e innovadora del DVB-T2 que ofrece una amplia gama de resoluciones desde 4K Ultra HD hasta resoluciones para las pantallas m s peque as que normalmente se encuentran en los dispositivos m viles.
La presentaci n subraya la potencia y flexibilidad de este est ndar de segunda generaci n. En otra destacada demostraci n, DVB muestra las nuevas prestaciones que llegar n con la pr xima especificaci n DVB-CI Plus. La especificaci n incluir el ltimo conjunto de prestaciones que ha sido introducido por las extensiones CI Plus y que permite entregar IPTV directamente al televisor, sin necesidad de un set-top.
Actualmente utilizando el est ndar de transmisi n terrestre DVB-T2, se est entregando servicio 4K UHDTV utilizando codificaci n HEVC, y un servicio m vil en un solo canal 8 MHz. Esto es posible por medio del uso de m ltiples PLPs (Physical Layer Pipes), una caracter stica del DVB-T2 que permite un ajuste independiente de la robustez de cada servicio que se entrega dentro de un canal para cumplir con las condiciones necesarias de recepci n. Los par metros de transmisi n PLP para el servicio m vil est n en conformidad con el conjunto de par metros T2-Lite.
El servicio, proporcionado por Arqiva, est siendo transmitido desde la Torre Alticom en msterdam para cubrir toda la zona de exposici n del IBC. El servicio 4K se recibe por medio de un dise o de referencia Broadcom (que consiste en un descodificador 4K HEVC y demodulador y sintonizador T2) y se visualiza en un televisor Sony de 55 . El contenido del servicio 4K ha sido proporcionado por Sony, 3net Studios, Discovery e IMAX. El servicio m vil se recibe por medio de un dongle DVB-T2 USB de Sony y se muestra en una tableta. El contenido para el servicio m vil lo proporciona la BBC.
Dise ado y coordinado por la TNO, Organizaci n Holandesa para la Investigaci n Cient fica, la demostraci n de tecnolog a CI Plus muestra como la pr xima especificaci n DVB-CI Plus podr ofrecer soporte para IPTV. La demostraci n utiliza un modulo de acceso condicional SmarDTV DVB-CI Plus (CAM) junto con un televisor Philips proporcionado por TP Vision y una aplicaci n IPTV desarrollada por Accenture. La demostraci n muestra como despu s de insertar el CAM en una televisi n conectada para IP, un proceso autom tico de b squeda encuentra los canales disponibles IPTV y recupera la aplicaci n de televisor virtual del operador que contiene la gu a electr nica de programaci n (EPG). Entonces se muestran los canales IPTV y EPG como fuentes adicionales en la televisi n.
La experiencia del usuario no se distingue del consumo habitual de televisi n que llega de otras fuentes. Los usuarios pueden cambiar de canal y utilizar el EPG del proveedor de servicios IPTV para obtener informaci n detallada sobre los programas y poder elegir de la lista de canales IPTV. Como la aplicaci n funciona en un entorno basado en HTML, los proveedores de servicios IPTV pueden ofrecer a sus clientes una interfaz de usuario que integra la visualizaci n de televisi n y los servicios sobre demanda de fuentes de emisi n y de banda ancha utilizando un solo control remoto.
DVB-CI Plus
En IBC, DVB ha desvelado el trabajo realizado para incorporar la ltima versi n de las extensiones CI Plus (com nmente llamadas CI Plus V1.4) en la pr xima especificaci n DVB-CI Plus. En un esfuerzo de colaboraci n con CI Plus LLP, DVB est demostrando una soluci n basada en est ndares que a ade nuevas prestaciones importantes a la especificaci n CI Plus V1.3. La compatibilidad inversa integral se mantendr en la nueva especificaci n.
El nuevo est ndar DVB-CI Plus permitir que se pueda entregar IPTV directamente al televisor, sin ninguna necesidad de tener un set-top. A adir una serie de prestaciones que permitir n sta capacidad. Estas nuevas prestaciones incluyen: la capacidad de enrutar streams IP de alta banda ancha por medio del modulo de acceso condicional (CAM) con la capacidad de que el CAM pueda controlar estos streams IP; una nueva mesa de descripci n de servicio en l nea (OSDT); y soporte para IP Multicast.
Al combinar DVB-CI Plus con las especificaciones del foro Open IPTV (OIPF), se puede construir una soluci n integralmente est ndar. Esto es posible porque aprovecha las especificaciones del OIPC para un entorno de navegador basado en HTML, protocolos de recuperaci n, codificaci n y formatos de empaquetado, adem s de otros elementos.
