Highlights in this version:

Support for FIMS Transform Media Specification

Enables transcoding over SOAP according to AMWA FIMS 1.0.7 Transform Specification. All mandatory features supported, as well as the optional HTTP callback notifications and assigning job priority. A variety of formats are supported. Further reading: http://www.vidispine.com/partner/vidiwiki/FIMS

Support for Aspera FIMS file transfer agent

Support for Cerify QC

Vidispine can now send a file through Tektronix Cerify for QC (quality control). The result is metadata stored as bulky metadata for the item shape. The Cerify step is implemented as an optional job step. It can be inserted in any existing or new job types in Vidispine, e.g. auto import. Support for cutting and combining video on-the-fly

Subtitle support

Adds handling of subtitles as time-coded metadata on items, making the subtitles searchable and re-usable. The supported subtitle import format is STL. Subtitles can be exported as metadata to e.g. Final Cut Pro for review. On transcode, subtitles can be rendered (burnt) into the exported video sequence. Archive functionality in JavaScript

Inter-storage-move support

Inter-storage move operations are now supported for local files, FTP using FXP and S3 (for files smaller than 5 GB).

Ability to throttle jobs

Allow advanced audio channel mappings in shape tags

P2 ingest

Enables ingest of P2 clips and merging them using a conform job.
