Boxer Signs Spanish Director Mireia Pujol

Los Angeles-based Boxer Films has signed director Mireia Pujol for her first-ever U.S. commercial representation. Hailing from Barcelona, Spain, the young director has helmed affecting and visually sophisticated campaigns for Dewar's White Label, H&M, Chanel and more. Pujol will continue to be represented in Spain and Argentina by Agosto and in Germany by Czar.

Notes Boxer Executive Producer Beth George, Mireia brings a fresh and unexpected perspective to everything she does, and her work always stirs. We couldn't be more excited to be working with her. Says Pujol, I always try to present interesting characters and places in a poetic, visual way. Sometimes all it takes is a look, a brief exchange or a carefully composed shot to know a lot about a person or location. Boxer's directors often pull this off and I'm very happy to be a part of their family.

Pujol grew up in Barcelona and attended University Ramon Llull there before shipping off to New York Film Academy in Manhattan. She then returned to Spain to work in feature film development and also as an assistant director for some of the biggest directors in the country. She also directed several short films at this time, some of which won awards at festivals such as El Ojo de Iberomaerica, Ciclope Awards and CdeC. Her understanding of character and how to expose it with artful imagery has made her a valuable creative partner for both European and American brands.
