dB Broadcast Responds to Sales Growth with New Graduate Engineering Appointments

Cambridgeshire, UK Leading systems integrator dB Broadcast is responding to strong new growth in the business by taking on three new graduate engineers. The recruits will provide dB with increased engineering resources for project design, testing and after-sales support, as well as increasing the number of products that can be developed.

The three new engineers have already begun work and their roles are: Thomas Darby - Graduate Engineer, Ryan Hurt Graduate Commissioning & Support Engineer and Daniel Atkinson Embedded Systems Software Engineer for Product Development. Darby is a graduate from Middlesex University, Hurt has a Broadcast Engineering Technology degree from Ravensbourne University, and Atkinson is a Software Engineering graduate from the University of Central Lancashire who recently completed an internship for General Electric Intelligent Platforms (pic below).

Unlike many systems integrators, dB's policy is to build its own in-house team of expert engineers, skilled in addressing the specific challenges of broadcast technology, rather than relying heavily on contract staff.

dB also recognises the importance of high level training, with one day each month being allocated to training staff within the Engineering and Sales departments. The newly recruited graduate engineers will undergo a programme comprising in-house training, external courses and on the job training. dB has strong links to the industry body IABM, and works with IABM to offer appropriate training for dB s staff. Engineers Darby and Hurt will attend a number of their courses.
