Edgeware Convoy Management Software honored for exceptional innovation in video delivery network systems
Stockholm - July 10, 2013 - Edgeware, the technology leader in distributed video delivery, today announced that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) and Cable Spotlight have named the Edgeware Convoy Management Software as a recipient of a 2012 Cable Spotlight Product of the Year Award.
The Convoy Management Software is an integral part of Edgeware's Distributed Video Delivery Network (D-VDN) Solution. It enables operators to set up and manage a complete video delivery network and provide enhanced services such as time-shift TV and multi-tenant or wholesale CDN. The unique architecture is highly distributed across delivery nodes, which enables instant, massive scalability while maintaining the highest quality of experience (QoE), even when the mix of video services changes.
Edgeware's Convoy Management Software also makes it possible to achieve super-low latency. When making control and management decisions, only aggregated reports from each delivery node are collected and processed centrally by Convoy's Management Software. This enables real-time business analytics when delivering to millions of concurrent, multiscreen devices, dramatically reducing the complexity, overhead and cost of both retail and wholesale video delivery for operators.
