Rogue One: Una Historia de Star Wars, pel cula protagonizada por Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn y Donnie Yen, ha sido en todo el mundo el taquillazo de estas navidades. Para el rodaje de la pel cula, su director, Gareth Edwards, junto al director de fotograf a, Greig Fraser, opt por la Alexa 65 de ARRI como c mara principal de las unidades A, B y C.
Fraser ha reconocido que cuando conoci las posibilidades que ofrec a el sensor de la c mara qued boquiabierto. Creo que a veces la gente no comprende totalmente cu les son las ventajas de los 65mm. Las im genes son m s n tidas y tienen m s resoluci n, y estas son ventajas, pero para m se trata de la profundidad de la imagen tiene dimensionalidad. A menudo la belleza estaba dada por la textura. The first production to use this camera was Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. Aunque el filme fue rodado en principio en pel cula de 35 mm por Robert Elswit, una importante secuencia subacu tica fue capturada por Pete Romano con c maras Alexa 65 y lentes Prime 65 dentro de carcasas HydroFlex.
