Perception from media technology and content distribution specialist Vision247, enables 4G connected mobile devices to access hundreds of live streamed, high quality linear TV and radio channels, cloud based catch-up TV and video on demand.
Perception takes advantage of high-speed cellular connectivity (100Mbps) to deliver mobile TV viewing to smartphone and tablet screens. With a 4G connection, consumers gain access to live broadcasts with the familiarity of home viewing, plus cloud based functionality which delivers total control over what to watch, when, where and on which device.
Select and watch favourite programmes live. Missed a programme? No problem. Perception supports time-shifted viewing of all programming from the previous week or more. Want to keep a favourite series, but do not have enough on device memory? Perception also provides every subscriber with their own cloud based video recorder, so that they can create a personal TV channel. Or they can choose to use the space to store photos and music and then stream these to their device whenever they want.
Should network capacity issues lead to 4G users being moved to 3G, then Perception with its automatic adaptive transcoding technology for iOS and Android devices ensures content is optimised for smooth unbroken viewing.
