
2013 AICP Show Curatorial Committee Announced
NEW YORK, February 12, 2013 Matt Miller, President and CEO of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP), and Michael Di Girolamo, Partner/Executive Producer at Station Film, and Chairman of the 2013 AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, today announced the composition of the Show's Curatorial Committee. The Show debuts June 6th in New York at The Museum of Modern Art, as part of an entire week devoted to the artistry of commercial production. The Call for Entries for the Show is now open at aicp.com; the deadline to enter the Show is March 1, 2013.
The cross-section of industry professionals on the Curatorial Committee is integral to the success of the Show each year, said Miller. We are very pleased to have such a deep bench of luminaries, each of whom will bring their own perspective to this installment of the Show.
Each member of the Curatorial Committee brings knowledge, taste, and insight to the process, and their experience ensures a great outcome for this years Show, noted Di Girolamo. I am incredibly honored to explore and review this years high caliber work with such a distinguished team.
Under the direction of Di Girolamo and Miller, The Curatorial Committee is comprised of a diverse array of industry leaders, working in all disciplines which contribute to creating marketing in the motion image. The Curatorial Committee is part of a bifurcated judging system, which begins with a series of judging panels from across the country, with experts in various fields judging work across the 23 categories in the Show. The Curatorial Committee is the final arbiter in the disposition of the Show, confirming eligibility and appropriateness to category. The AICP Next Awards are judged by a separate panel.

AICP Show Entry Site
The Show entry site, powered by Zester, is now accepting entries. The entry deadline for the Show is March 1, 2013 for work airing February 27, 2012 February 24, 2013.
The Show, established in 1992, is the most important advertising showcase in the U.S. Each year, the best advertising appearing in the moving image is honored and made part of the archive of the Department of Film at MoMA. The Next Awards, a featured presentation of the Show launched five years ago, to highlight the winners of the Next categories, which honor advertising that appears outside of traditional channels.

AICP Week is a celebration of creativity and thought leadership. The Week is anchored by the Premieres of The AICP Next Awards and the AICP Show: The Art and Technique of the American Commercial, the latter culminating with the most anticipated celebrations in the industry: The gala at the Museum of Modern Art. Additionally, in each year, various educational seminars and events highlighting the state of marketing in the motion image are staged.
