With an ever increasingly turbulent stock market, 2016 Cixi Financial Services Festival cum the Second Investment Festival saw its grand opening at the east square of Intime Department Store, Cixi on October 29. Twenty financial institutions disseminated financial knowledge and provided citizens with diversified and customized financial services.
On October 29, exhibition stands of the banks were arranged in line; the staff were busy explaining the household financial planning to citizens and giving suggestions accordingly to help them choose the right wealth investment products. Citizens in turn asked questions about the problems they encountered in investment and financing and got satisfying answers on the spot.
I heard that there'll be a promotional campaign for financial knowledge. I want to learn some knowledge about investment and financing and wealth investment products, said Miss Zhang, an employee of a real estate. She wanted to learn more about investment and financing to do some wheeling and dealing before choosing her wealth investment products provided by all these banks. I suffered a great loss in the stock market. It was too risky. Now I am looking for some safer wealth investment products from the banks, said Mr. Zhang and he frankly put it that the stable income of those products was another strong point. Aunt Zhang living nearby was collecting stamps for the gifts while holding a dozen of financing services brochures. She said, I am happy to learn some knowledge and get gifts at the same time.
The financial services festival introduced more activities to ensure high interaction and participation. It fully displayed the products and services of the financial institutions while offering some direct benefits to the citizens. The festival also disseminated knowledge about financial fraud detection and prevention to raise people's awareness of the risks involved.
2016 Cixi Financial Services Festival was co-hosted by Cixi Municipal Bureau of Finance, The People's Bank of China, Cixi Branch, Cixi office of Ningbo Banking Regulatory Bureau, Cixi Daily Group, Cixi Banking Association and Cixi Insurance Association. Besides the opening ceremony, there are some sub-activities that will last to December, including a voting for top 10 financial institutions and a financial knowledge quiz game.
