Big budget US film planned for Cape Town --

The Cape Town Film Commission (CTFC) is finalising a deal which could result in a $150m film being shot in Cape Town, the highest budget for a film shot in South Africa to date.
Denis Lillie, CEO of the CTFC said, It s very exciting. Filming is due to begin in November. The producers had a few concerns about sourcing certain support services, which are key aspects of the narrative, and I am convinced that we can provide them.
Though confidentiality agreements prevent Lillie from providing too much information, he said the movie was an action-adventure, which would be set in hot and dusty scenery.
Cape Town has been the location of choice for a number of Hollywood films and TV series, including Safe House, Dredd, The Giver and Blended; and from mid-June to November, season four of Homeland will also be shot in the city.
