OOMPH! Animation presents OONGU LOONGU: Animal Palace, a children's animated comedy TV Series, the first ever fictional kids show acting as a platform to address factual wildlife and conservation issues in an attempt to educate and create an awareness globally, while entertaining. Oongu Loongu, is a magical animal sanctuary situated on a Game Reserve acting as a rehabilitation centre for rescued, endangered and injured animals, with the goal of reintroducing them back into the wild, owned and run in similar fashion to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory by the eccentric childlike veterinarian, Papa Joe. Each episode revolves around the animal and environmental cases undertaken by Zak, a gifted 10- year-old orphan assisted his 2 best friends Boomba, a delusional Hollywood pygmy bear, and Poley, a puberty stricken humanoid Lion, with an array of antagonists challenging their objectives, most notably, Pape Joe's granddaughter, Shirlee, an ingenious 6 year old socialite aided by her genetically enhanced pet Pekingese dog, Tysin. OOMPH!, established in 2013, by Producer, Tariq Khan and Creative Director, Carmen Randall, and funded by The NFVF to develop Oongu Loongu ,with the goal of securing an international co- production & broadcast deal at various abroad film markets to introduce SA produced and owned animated TV content to a global audience for possibly the first time ever, while building and maintaining relationships with the relevant industry leaders.

Intent on boosting local industry growth, employment & transformation, while developing an SA rendition of a Cartoon Network' channel, accessible across the globe, innovating marketing, distribution, merchandising and digital/mobile application concepts ensuring commercial and financial viability for all parties involved.

At present, we're approaching the SA corporate sector to invest in the production of a 26 part 2 min segment series of Oongu Loongu, with each segment acting as a platform for the characters to address a wildlife/conservation issue in an entertaining light, with the purpose of selling this filler' series as a complete pre-sale' to an international broadcaster to build a fan base for the show itself prior to a full scale series production investment, while strengthening SA's reputation as a key animation player to attract international and local investors.
