Viaccess-Orca and Broadpeak Bring Insights on OTT Monetization to NexTV Series Africa March 22, 2021 PARIS - March 17, 2021 - Viaccess-Orca (VO), a global leader providing OTT and TV platforms, content protection, and advanced data solutions, is teaming up with Broadpeak , a leading provider of content delivery network and video streaming solutions, to discuss OTT monetization strategies for service providers in Africa through a series of upcoming NexTV Africa virtual events.
OTT revenues in Africa are expected to reach $1.725 billion by 2026. As a growing number of service providers in the region launch OTT services, monetization is both a challenge and an opportunity. Understanding OTT business models and latest innovations in technology is critical for service providers to successfully monetize their streaming services. Keeping this in mind, VO and Broadpeak will bring their wealth of advice and experience to the topic of OTT monetization.
At NexTV Series Afrique, VO and Broadpeak will offer a joint session on Evolution of Satellites/DTT Networks and New OTT Multiscreen Live Services: What are the New Opportunities?
The News: The NexTV Series Afrique panel discussion will highlight issues facing satellite operators developing an OTT presence. The session will examine how operators can take advantage of existing DTH and DTT networks for video streaming and bring focus to development prospects for the French-speaking African market.
Participants: Presented in French, the discussion will include insights from Laurent Boschet, Director of Sales in Africa for VO and Xavier Leclercq, Vice President of Business Development at Broadpeak. The session will be moderated by Marie Beyer, market analyst for Africa and MENA at Dataxis.

During NexTV CEO Africa, Broadpeak and VO will present a virtual panel discussion titled Between New Ad-Funded Models and Changing Consumption Habits: How are Operators Monetizing Their OTT Proposition in 2021?
The News: Broadpeak and VO experts will explore the challenges and opportunities of transitioning to OTT multiscreen; provide insights on business models for video streaming, including freemium and premium; and discuss the latest technology innovations enabling OTT monetization.
Participants: The session will be presented in English and speakers include Pascal Birot, Vice President of Sales EMEA at VO; Xavier Leclercq from Broadpeak; Craig Kelly, Founder and CEO at AfricaXP; and Catherine Njari, Senior Strategy Manager, Media and Content at Safaricom.
