CFPA MOU

Screen Producers Australia and the China Film Producers Association (CFPA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance opportunities for collaboration and communication between the two countries, signaling a joint commitment to develop greater exchange and strengthen bonds between screen content producers in China and Australia.

The agreement was signed at a forum hosted by Griffith Film School celebrating closer collaboration between producers across the Asia Pacific.

China Film Producers Association and Screen Producers Australia have agreed to an open dialogue that will include the sharing of information and the exchange of ideas in areas of feature film, television and digital media production.

To achieve this outcome, the CFPA and SPA are committed to establishing an annual engagement schedule between parties that assists in facilitating meetings, seminars and/or other opportunities for screen content creators to connect including the meetings of the International Federation of Film Producers Association (FIAPF), as well as working to enhance co-production opportunities in each country, and providing information about laws and legislations in each country that relate to the film industry.

We have much to learn from each other and given our growing trade and cultural ties, screen producers in Australia see great value and opportunity in working more closely with our Chinese colleagues through our industry associations.
