Explosion of innovation gives judges a very tough job

IABM announced the shortlisted candidates for its 2016 Game Changer Awards. With around 80 high quality entries this year, the judging panel faced a tough job in reducing them to just three shortlisted contenders in each of the nine categories.

The quality and breadth of entries to this year's Game Changer Awards demonstrates clearly that the rate of innovation in our industry continues to accelerate, said John Ive, IABM Director of Technology and Strategic Insight, and chairman of the judging panel. The submissions this year included many potentially game-changing products and services and it was extremely difficult to reduce them to just three shortlisted candidates in each category; in fact, in Acquisition & Production, we have exceptionally shortlisted four very strong entries. Our distinguished panel of judges that will decide the final winners at NAB have a very tough job ahead of them.

An independent panel of ten expert judges will now come together to choose the winners in each category, which will be announced at the IABM Game Changer Awards ceremony on Tuesday 19th April, LVCC Room S231, 5.30-6.30pm. The winning entries will be automatically submitted for the IABM's prestigious Peter Wayne Award, with the winner announced at the IABM Annual International Business Conference and Awards in December 2016.
