ARLINGTON, VA; June 30, 2020- PBS today announced the promotions of Rhonda Holt to Senior Vice President, Information Technology and Scott Nourse to Senior Vice President, Product & Innovation. Working together, Rhonda and Scott will drive innovation in technology and digital as PBS continues to navigate a multiplatform media environment.
As the Senior Vice President, Information Technology, Rhonda Holt will continue to lead the Software Development & Operations function and take on additional responsibilities, including the Program Management and the Technology Strategy & Planning groups. In addition, she will work to further enhance the collaboration between Technology & Operations and Digital & Marketing and serve as the executive sponsor of the Cybersecurity Advisory Committee, which was created to enhance enterprise-wide cyber security solutions, processes and readiness. Rhonda will begin her new role on July 1 and will continue to report to PBS Chief Technology Officer Mario Vecchi.
Prior to joining PBS in 2016, Rhonda pursued an entrepreneurial career at the health technology start-up TrustedCare Inc., where she currently serves as a Board Member. Before that, she had a long tenure at Turner Broadcasting System, culminating in the role of Senior Vice President, Digital Media Technologies, where she oversaw the delivery of Turner's web-based products, including website development, deployment and operations for Turner's new media and mobile businesses in News, Sports and Entertainment. Previously, Rhonda held leadership positions at various organizations, including Sun Microsystems, Inc., Dell Computer, Inc. and IBM Corp.
She received a BS in Computer Science from the University of Florida and is graduate of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute at the Center for Creative Leadership, as well as a graduate of the NAMIC Executive Leadership Development Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Rhonda also serves as a Director and Executive Committee member for the University of Florida Foundation Board.
As Senior Vice President, Product & Innovation, Scott Nourse will continue to lead the digital product team, driving all new digital product development and cloud operations across PBS. In addition, he will lead PBS's digital innovation efforts, focusing on identifying transformative technologies that foster and develop new digital products and solutions; redefine and lead the Project Management Office (PMO); and play a more active role in the management of sIX (Interconnection). Scott will step into this new role on July 1 and will continue to report to PBS Chief Digital and Marketing Officer Ira Rubenstein.
Prior to joining PBS in 2015, Scott served as Senior Vice President, Production Operations at Sony Pictures Interactive, where he was responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day operations of production, design, technology and product development in support of the studio's online and mobile marketing efforts. His previous roles include serving as president of the digital agency Deeply Superficial Productions - where he managed creative services for clients such as Visa USA, Turner Network Television (TNT), American Movie Classics (AMC), The Starbright Foundation and the United States Postal Service (USPS) - and as an executive producer at American Cybercast, where he produced the groundbreaking webisodics The Spot and Project EON-4.
Together, Scott and Rhonda will work to fuse PBS's product development and technology infrastructure and create opportunities for more alignment through jointly developed projects to ensure that PBS meets the needs of member stations and viewers.
