Avid (Nasdaq: AVID) today announced that customers have one week remaining to take advantage of a limited-time offer for the industry's preeminent video editing system, Avid Media Composer , and the Avid Artist Series Control Surfaces for color grading, editing, mixing or navigation. Now through June 30, 2015, customers who purchase an annual subscription to Media Composer online will save 40% the lowest Media Composer subscription pricing ever significantly lowering the cost of entry for the industry's most trusted video editing software. Customers who purchase a perpetual license or annual subscription to Media Composer through the Avid Store will receive 20% off an Artist Series Control Surface.

Trusted by the biggest names in film and television to make award-winning movies and TV shows, Media Composer delivers accelerated high-resolution and HD workflows, real-time collaboration, and powerful media management capabilities.

Giving customers more choice over how they access and deploy their tools, a key element of Avid Everywhere , Media Composer subscription licensing provides monthly and annual subscription options. Customers can gain access to the latest Media Composer toolset, support and upgrades on a low-cost monthly or annual basis, starting at just $29.99 a month until the end of June. The Symphony Color Correction option for Media Composer is included with a monthly or annual subscription.

Alternatively, customers can license the software on a perpetual basis and receive one year of Avid support and upgrades, with additional upgrades available thereafter through annual support plan renewal.

Pricing

Media Composer subscription licensing: $29.99/month (£22.80 including VAT, 29.00 excluding VAT) until the end of June

Perpetual licenses for Media Composer: $1,299 USD (£939 including VAT, 1,099 excluding VAT)

All versions now include software upgrades and support. Perpetual licenses include a one-year support contract entitling customers to support and upgrades for one year. Upgrades and support after the first year require the annual support contract to be renewed annually for $299 (£219 including VAT, 249 excluding VAT). Subscription licenses include support and upgrades as long as the subscription remains current.
