Cavendish Square revamped with two Cine Prestige theatres --

Two Ster-Kinekor theatres at Cavendish Square in Cape Town have recently been converted into Cine Prestige theatres the cinema company s luxury cinema experience. The installation follows on the success of Cine Prestige at The Zone, Sandton City and Cradlestone Mall in Johannesburg; The Grove Mall in Pretoria; and Gateway in Durban.
Fiaz Mahomed, CEO of Ster-Kinekor Theatres says, This exclusive cinema format epitomises film-viewing heaven and pure luxury rolled into one. The two Cine Prestige cinemas at Cavendish are fitted with 44 and 40 seats respectively, made up of a combination of single and double automated recliner chairs that ooze lavish comfort. Each chair has a snack tray neatly fitted into it to accommodate the gourmet platters and refreshments, and includes yet another first for Ster-Kinekor: a refrigerated cup-holder to ensure that your drink stays cold throughout the film.
In addition to these exclusive benefits, Cine Prestige guests are able to order refreshments and snacks using a tablet for convenient service - a first for cinemas across the continent. Guests are welcomed and served at Cine Prestige VIP Lounge area and using the tablets, are able to place their order and indicate where they would like it to be served either in the lounge or at their seat inside the cinema.
All cinemas at Cavendish Square are installed with the latest in digital projector technology and quality surround sound speaker systems, with four cinemas able to screen films in 3D.
