The Winners of TSstartup's Second Generation Have Been Announced Ljubljana, 17 June Telekom Slovenije announced another call for applications in February for the TSstartup business accelerator, the first program in Slovenia which offers participants everything they need for intensive development and preparing themselves to enter the market in the telecommunications field. The invitation to collaboration went out to those startups and developers who want the opportunity to make a successful entry onto the market. Today, the 11 finalists presented their work and their progress over the past 4 months to the committee, comprised of Sa o Savi , Simon Furlan, Ale Speti , Mark Ple ko, and Marko Jakli , who divided up the 30,000 in prizes among 2 teams. Confidly took first prize ( 20,000), while Tee.LT took home second prize ( 10,000).

After the success of the first generation of projects under the business accelerator's auspices, Telekom Slovenije once again offered domestic and for the first time foreign developers the opportunity to work on their products in a collaborative manner. The invitation attracted 41 applications, which the committee whittled down through an interview process to the 11 most promising teams, which are now the second generation of TSstartup.

Confidly, made up of Jelena Ra ula and Matja Mrgole, developed a mobile app which people can use to confide in anonymously. It is your mobile confessional and anonymous companion, always there when you need someone to talk to. Other people who are willing to help can then answer your question and share their own experience. Jelena and Matja proved that they have what it takes to see an entire professional cycle through to the end in just 3 months from idea to launch.

Miha Gre ak and Nejc Vivod meanwhile developed an interesting game called Tee.LT for learning multiplication tables by tilting the phone. They were able to join education, entertainment, and agility. That game's objective is to tilt your phone to find the right answer. Tee.LT will now be available for iPad and the full version will come with a fee. The game is designed to be updated with new educational material, as well as to be upgraded to cater to individual target groups.

The participants in the second generation of the TSstartup business accelerator were 11 teams with some extremely interesting and diverse solutions

Beezing is a system for analyzing and providing information in a timely manner on what is happening in apiaries. Data collection is automated, while beekeepers can monitor the situation with a mobile and web app, helping them optimize production.

CallWith.Me is a VoIP platform, which lets internet users make voice and video calls to various networks right from their browser.

Dropmedia is a graphic water curtain which converts computer images, patterns, and text into aquatic creations. The text message module will convert a received text message into water droplets, providing a new dimension for interacting with the device.

Confidly (previously emoowe) is a social network for the global market which lets us rate content from an emotional viewpoint. It facilitates qualitative analysis of web content.

Facility is a cloud computing app which helps hotels and other institutions optimize their internal organization.

FAST Digital Publisher is a web tool for creating and publishing electronic publications on tablets and smartphones.

food IO a mobile app for managing household supplies and grocery shopping without having to type.

Naymit works as a DNS for different locations. The user labels a place on the map and names it. Anyone else can then find that place by name.

ShowMeAround is a web platform which helps locals share interesting things to do in their home town with tourists who have similar interests.

Tee.LT is a real-time multiplayer quiz for mobile devices. You can test your knowledge by tilting your phone, and there is a wealth of possible answers for each question.

Wellioo is a web and mobile app which solves problems when reserving services and optimizes communication with users and employees.

As the top telecommunications provider, Telekom Slovenije wants to create an environment which stimulates technological and business innovativeness, with the possibility of using the company's existing infrastructure, where the exchange of opinions, knowledge, and experience brings tangible results. Companies, teams, and individuals who develop online, mobile, and telecommunication services are welcome to apply. The developers participating in the project have the additional opportunity of promoting and selling their solutions through Telekom Slovenije, while participation in the project does not obligate them in any way.
