Aputure, creators of LED lighting for filmmakers, is excited to showcase its award-winning lineup of professional lighting solutions at the upcoming Cine Gear Expo - LA, taking place at the historic Warner Bros Studios in Burbank, California on June 7th and 8th (Stage 19, booth S9307). During this year's Cine Gear, Aputure is launching its first-ever Crew House, where six creators will have unlimited access to Aputure gear and free reign to shoot content in their creative styles, light using their approaches to visual storytelling, and speak in their authentic voice while collaborating alongside fellow creators. See at Cine Gear: The Experts on Lighting
On Saturday, June 8th, Tim Kang, Principal Engineer at Aputure and cinematographer by trade, will moderate main programming panel The Future of Lighting and Collaboration with Tom Howard, Jeff Webster, and Derek Hoffman (Screening Room 12, 3:45 pm PT - 4:35 pm PT). With an emphasis on the use of emerging technologies in the lighting industry in collaboration with visual effects, this panel will discuss the nuances, nature, and implications of this collaboration on the future of motion picture production.
Cine Gear Expo attendees will also have the opportunity to attend compelling presentations by industry luminaries throughout both show days covering The Art of Lighting and Cinematography and What They Didn't Teach You in Film School. Esteemed gaffers Andrew Lock, Luke Seerveld, and John Roche will join for lighting panels, while cinematography panels will feature discussions with Richard Crudo, Christine Ng, and Veronica Bouza. These panel discussions will explore the artistry and technique behind film lighting and the soft skills needed to grow in the industry.
