Businesswoman and media personality Boity Thulo blasted onto the music scene in 2018 with her high-energy hip-hop single Wuz Dat? featuring Nasty C. After releasing her EP 4436 in 2020, the star took some time away from music to focus on her other business ventures but now, she is ready to release more music for her fans!

BOITY THULO'S JOURNEY IN HIP-HOP Although music isn't her full-time job, Boity has proven that she's always on top of her hip-hop game. The award-winning star has released four singles over years including her reality show's theme song, Own Your Throne.

The 32-year-old star made history in 2019 as the first female rapper in Mzansi to receive platinum status for a single. She was awarded her plaque in November of the same year and stunned fans in 2020 with her EP release.

Boity's EP, 4436, was nominated for a South African Music Award (Sama) in the Best Hip-Hop Album category in 2021. The EP features the likes of Maglera Doe Boy, Yanga Chief, Maggz and the late Riky Rick.

MORE MUSIC ON THE WAY? Speaking to TshisaLive, Boity said she took a step back from music because she wanted to take time to work on brand new music.

I really want to work on a project and I'm ready to present new work, new material to my followers because they are like: We want more music'. And I know and I'm just like: Oh God when I get there I will' and I think that's when I will start taking more gigs again properly and start flourishing my music career, said Boity.

For me, this is my thing and people love it but I entered it already being an entrepreneur and already being a multifaceted person. So I'm still treating it that way and that just works for me, so I'm returning to it now.

WILL BOITY RELEASE AN AMAPIANO TRACK? In August 2021, Boity teased an amapiano song which left fans excited about what was to come from the star. The track features amapiano stars Felo Le Tee and Daliwonga. Can we expect Boity to release the track soon?
