Editorial Control/ Content Origination

Content of Buildups, inserts and live events meets requirements of target audience whilst remaining sensitive to the current political situation

Appropriate presenters and guests are sourced, trained and hired based on their knowledge and expertise

Content remains correct and up to date according to relevant sport requirements

People Management

Upskilling of Production staff is conducted

Staff is aware of current performance standards through ongoing performance feedback and formal Performance reviews

Production Process

Event planning - involved in the long term visioning process by being available throughout the development phase of the project

Thorough pre-production resulting in all production elements being completed and available on time

Preparation of production process which includes contingency plans

Accurate running orders - all staff fully understand their function in the production

Post production - all relevant paperwork is completed and submitted timeously

Successes and failures are reported according to SOP's to ensure an evolving standard for future productions.

Quality control

All programmes meet required technical broadcasting standards and channel image

Education & Experience

Matric (Grade 12)

Media studies certificate or Management diploma an added advantage

Minimum 10 years relevant experience

Sound knowledge and understanding of live broadcasting

Proven experience in other departments in the Television Industry

Experienced in Broadcast Technology

Computer literate

Leadership qualities

Ability to travel extensively
