Marquis Broadcast, experts in content workflows and media integration software, specialises in moving media. The Company has today announced it will exhibit at CABSAT for the first time this year on booth C3-45. Marquis will demonstrate its popular archive and retrieve solution, Project Parking and also preview the latest functionality in Project Parking Version 4 which is to be officially launched at NAB 2015.

CABSAT is the largest trade show in the MENA region for Broadcasting, Satellite & Connected digital media, confirms Ben Miles, business development manager, Marquis Broadcast. Parking enables editors to analyse and manage all the projects and media on their edit storage and it has now been supplied to broadcasters and post houses all over the world. We will be delighted to demonstrate Project Parking to the attendees at CABSAT for the very first time this year.

Parking gives facilities total control to manage the efficiency of their edit storage. Parking works by analysing all projects and media across all workspaces and allows them to be viewed in a user-friendly way. This enables the user to rank projects by total files size, number of files associated with a project, which workspaces the media is on, when the project was last edited and whether media is off-line. The solution also identifies the location of any duplicate files and any orphaned media not associated with a project. Parking then allows individual bins or folders of bins to be included or excluded from the archive which is created on second tier storage. Retrieval is also straight forward and can be easily achieved by restoring whole projects or just the required bins of an archived project for re-editing.

At CABSAT, we will also be our showing Interplay Orphan Crosschecking (IOC) functionality, which provides verification of orphan material when working with Avid Interplay, opening the solution up to more customers who rely on Interplay MAM operating in tandem with ISIS workspaces, continues Miles. Parking also now includes AMA content support. AMA linked media to be identified during the archive process and copied into the project archive. During the restoration, the AMA content can be mapped to any mounted workspace.

In addition, we will also be previewing Project Parking Version 4, confirms Miles. This version which will be officially launched at NAB includes new archiving and analysis tools.
