The news was revealed by Amakhosi after Castillo's four goals in 12 appearances (PSL and MTN8). The midfielder's last national runout was in February 2022, where he was an unused substitute in a 4-1 defeat to Uruguay.
Congratulations to Edson Castillo on your National Team Call-up, the club said on their WhatsApp channel.
CARLING KNOCKOUT Meanwhile, Chiefs are hours away from finding out who they will face in the brand-new Carling Knockout Cup.
The draw is set to take place on Tuesday at 13:00 live on SuperSport TV. Chiefs, along with last season's top eight teams, will be seeded in order to draw and face last season's bottom eight.
