Panasonic is pleased to announce the launch of its new Advanced VRF Designer software. Building on the success of the ECOi VRF Designer software, this package provides air conditioning system designers, installers and dealers with a program to design and size projects for Panasonics VRF ranges.
"We wanted to produce an all-round easy to use, comprehensive design software to aid the designers specification process for our VRF ranges", Marc Diaz, UK Country Manager at Panasonic. "Thanks to the new advanced software, installers can develop projects quickly, with the added benefit of EER and COP calculation according to the specified temperature condition. It comes fully loaded with all appropriate Panasonic product details including compatibility with our AHU Kits and WHE. It is designed with flexibility in mind so that several different system designs can be created within one project."
AutoCAD
Similar to the standard VRF Designer software, it is possible to create wiring and layout diagrams, and issue bills of quantities with a simple push of a button. With Panasonics Advanced software, designers are now able to work directly from AutoCAD files, making the process both time saving and extremely easy to manage. AutoCAD drawings, print outs* and scans from existing designs can be imported and altered with the system. Super-efficient and built for the designers every need, Panasonics Advanced VRF software can create 1:1 piping designs and automatic length calculation based on imported drawings.
Layout and scale
With zoom options that display up to one metre for full screen layouts, Panasonics Advanced VRF software ensures that designers can create with confidence and precision. Not only that, but designers can also change and specify the scale dependent on the project and buildings requirements.
The program will continuously check system designs for piping limitations in terms of height and length, capacity matches between indoor and outdoor units, correct piping and wiring. Outdoor and indoor units can be added, rotated or removed from the design, and are displayed according to their actual size. Correction factors are automatically applied to indoor unit capacities, depending on specified height differences, piping lengths, indoor/outdoor capacity ratio, and design conditions. The software can also calculate any additional amounts of refrigerant that may be required, based on configuration and piping lengths, as well as supply project price calculations and price list data. With easy-to-recognise colour indication, the connection status of indoor and outdoor unites, pipes and wiring are determined for complete peace of mind.
AHU kits and WHEs
In addition to the various new indoor, outdoor, controllers, control logic and associated wiring, the new software also incorporate Air Handling Unit (AHU) kits and Water Heat Exchangers (WHEs). Designed to connect with to the extensive range of VRF accessories, the kits add to the planning versatility that the software provides.
Snap Points
Panasonic's new software provides a number of supportive design techniques, which help the user easily and correctly place units, draw piping and wiring using Snap Points, colour coding and object position calculation.
Panasonic's Advanced VRF Designer software is perfect for the busy M&E consultant, installer and air conditioning equipment dealer who is looking for a comprehensive software program unlike any other. It is available free of charge via Panasonic Pro Club (www.panasonicproclub.com) from 14th September 2012. Although very easy to use, training will be available through Panasonic's usual extensive support channels. An e-learning training module is to be introduced in the next few months.
