It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. What a profound truth! A realization that eases the grip of life on man surrendering to God in all things. Partake in this feast as we consume food for the soul, nourishing the spirit in Breaking Bread. It is Monday, 28th November 2022.

God looks out for His children The apostle Paul, by using the phrase who can be against us'' actually means who can bring condemnation against a christian. No one can bring a charge against a christian, because it is God who justifies. No one can take us to court before God and win a case against us, because God Himself declared us righteous. This is evidence that since God is for us, who can be against us. The answer to this question is therefore NOW, no one can be against us because God has chosen us as His children and heirs and He is the judge.

We are secure in Christ and nothing can separate us from His love for us. The apostle Paul demonstrates this in Romans 8:35-39. No matter what challenges and problems we are experiencing right now, may it be financial debt, chronic illness, depression, the loss of a loved one- remember that as a child of God, He is for you and not against you.

Sometimes it feels as if everything is against us but because Jesus took our sins upon Him and fully paid for it. Remember God is always for us and not against us.

We must remember that this verse gives us hope. It does not mean that we will always prevail. What it in fact means is that the love of God for us is secure. We may suffer but we will never be destroyed. We may go through hardships, bad things and challenges but we should always remember that God is for us''. God loves us deeply and unconditionally. We are His children and He will never forsaken us. This is all temporary.

We must always walk in the presence of the Lord and know that He will fight for us against our enemies. We must surrender our doubts and insecurities to God and let Him take charge of our challenges in our life's.

PRAYER Thank you Lord for reminding us through Your Word that we are chosen as Your children. Thank You that we can confess and be glad that You are not against us but for Lord, stay with us and guide us through our daily challenges. Amen.

Paulus beskryf in Romeine 8 sy eie sowel as die mense wat saam met hom werk se daaglikse lyding, vervolging en swaarkry wat hulle moet ervaar en verduur. Hulle was aanhoudend gespot, geslaan en in die gevangenis toegesluit.

Miskien is ons situasie vandag baie anders as die van paulus en sy medewerkers 2000 jaar gelede maar selfs ons kan voel hoe die uitgagings van die wereld ons daagliks inhaal. Wanneer ons vandag op ons omstandighede fokus, lyk dit asof ons genoegsame redes het om neerslagtig en wanhopig te raak. Wanneer die opsies wat die wereld ons bied uitgeput raak en ons na niks meer kan gryp nie, bly daar net een waarheid oor: God is vir ons en niks kan ons skei van die liefde wat Hy vir ons het in Jesus Christus nie.

Wanneer ons weer geteister word deur die stormwinde van swaarkry, benoudheid, spanning, hopeloosheid en liefdeloosheid, laat ons ons toevlug neem na Hom wat vir ons is''. Hy belowe ons in Sy Woord dat Hy onveranderlik is. Hy is daar vir ons wanneer die storm woed. Ons moet die versekering he dat God ten alle tye vir ons intree. Die wereld veroordeel ons dikwels maar Christus onse Here sien dit alles en doen vir ons voorsprsaak by Sy Vader. Dit doen Hy alles omdat Hy vir ons is en nie teen ons nie.

Ons daaglikse situasies en werklikhede tydens die moeilike seisoene lyk in die oomblik vir ons baie gewigtig en kragtig, maar ons moet verseker wees dat God tydens hierdie tye vir ons is. Dit moet vir ons n langtermyn hoop wees.

GEBED Dankie Vader dat ons die versekering het dat U vir ons is al lyk die weg so donker en hopeloos. Help ons om in geloof aan U vas te hou. Laat ons ten alle tye die versekering he dat U vir ons is, dat U die ster in donker nagte vir ons is.
