Phil Darkin joins Lava as Head of Business Development 17 December 2014

Lava, VFX and creative technology solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Phil Darkin as Head of Business Development. Based at the company's offices in the heart of London's Soho, Phil will be responsible for building the Lava brand and promoting the company's products and services across VFX, Architectural Design, Broadcast, TV and Film.
With more than 20 years' experience, working in roles supporting Post Production, Video Editing, Traditional 2D and 3D Animation and VFX, Phil has helped some of the largest Architectural and VFX/Post Production companies select and deploy technology that delivers both creativity and productivity.
Commenting on the appointment, Sean Baker Lava's Commercial Director said, We're delighted to welcome Phil on board. He has a broad technical knowledge of systems used in creative industries, including network infrastructure, software and asset workflow, high performance compute and render, bespoke storage solutions and 2D/3D graphics pipelines. With a personable practical approach to technical solutions, Phil will be a great addition to our team as we develop our business and partnerships over the coming year.
Launched by ERA earlier this year, Lava provides end-to-end solutions for the international film production and creative industries including pipeline and workflow consultancy, custom-designed systems and support services. The company is an official Autodesk Silver Partner and represents other leading technology providers including Adobe, ftrack, Assimilate and Chaos Group.
