The Isibaya stars Linda Mtoba and Thandeka joined the second season of Mzansi Magic's popular telenovela Isifiso.

LINDA MTOBA JOINS MZANSI MAGIC TELENOVELA While it is unclear what role actress Thandeka Qwabe will play, Sunday World reports that The River actress Linda Mtoba will play the role of Nokwanda in Isifiso season two.

Mtoba will be playing the role of Nokwanda who comes to rock Bazothini's life, add the publication.

Nelisa Mchunu's character Bazothini killed her sister so she can marry her rich husband Siboniso (Melusi Yeni) in Isifiso season one and gain popularity with viewers.

Julia (played by Zinhle Mabena) told Siboniso that it was Bazothini who killed his wife, and her sister, Nobuhle (Mbalenhle Mthembu).

Bazothini then killed Julia and left Siboniso to think that it was Julia who was the murderer then pushed Julia down the stairs like she did Nobuhle.

MZANSI MAGIC CONFIRMS ISIFISO' SEASON TWO Sunday World adds that other actors joining Linda Mtoba in Isifiso season two are Ntandazo Mndayi and Thandeka Qwabe.

Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net revealed in a statement: We are proud to be bringing back Isifiso for a second season, which is evidence of the quality of storytelling that our viewers have come to expect from Mzansi Magic. We can't wait to see what unfolds this season and how viewers will react to the captivating plot twists and character journeys.

Former Uzalo actress Nelisa Mchunu told Daily Sun that she enjoyed playing the villain character but it was crazy.

I won't lie, she was an intense character. She went through so many different emotions throughout the season. It was fun and challenging. It was so much fun playing a killer.

Mchunu also compared her current role to her breakout role in SABC1's soapie Uzalo as the fun-loving Fikile:

The way I acted was pretty much the same but obviously, I had to channel different things because the characters are different. That was the only change, channeling different energies.

She adds that she used the same mantra and the same way of getting into character. Season two of Isifiso will air on 10 April 2023 on Mondays at 8 pm on Mzansi Magic.
