4 major projects start construction in Jiangbei District

The ground-breaking ceremony of the major projects of Jiangbei District was held at the MIXC construction site on the morning of August 5.

Reportedly, the district will start 24 major projects, with the planned total investment of 19.2 billion yuan and this years quota of 4.8 billion yuan, including such projects as the MIXC complex, the complex project at the No.5 block of Xiejia sector invested by the Angles Zhejiang Assets Pte.Ltd, the E-town project of Qianyang sector and the Ningyi Building. Unlike the previous ceremonies, this ground-breaking ceremony has three features. Firstly, the investment scale is large, with the average investment of per project reaching 800 million yuan. Secondly, the project level is high, as the industrial project investment accounts for 45% of the total and the new projects will promote the development of such enterprises as the Jintian Group, Keli Sensing Technology and IKD Group. Thirdly, there are 13 infrastructure or livelihood projects, which have been looked forward to by the people and are necessary for the quality city construction.

Among others, the eye-catching MIXC project attracted a total investment of four billion yuan. With a floor area of 127 mu and a total construction area of 250,000 square meters, the project consists of the comprehensive business building, the outdoor business street, the north business block and the basement business block. With the opening of the Ningbo branch of Shanghai World Foreign Language Primary School and the completion of the park at the Section F area, as well as the unique natural environment of the Wantou block, the MIXC will be built as a comprehensive landmark integrating business and leisure. The project is expected to be completed in 2018.

It is worth mentioning that in cooperation with the MIXC, the Sams Club, one of the the largest membership shopping units in the world, will settle down in Ningbo for the first time. The store will be made of two floors with the construction area of 20,000 square meters, and there will be over 4000 kinds of goods to be sold in the store.

The complex project by the Angles Zhejiang Assets Pte.Ltd has an investment of about two billion yuan. With a floor area of 127 mu and a total construction area of 300,000 square meters, the project will be built as a high-quality health complex integrating education, shopping, medicine and garden. The project has attracted the settlement of the globally prominent American-Sino Medical Service.

Reportedly, since the beginning of this year, with the goal of the "new-style urbanization", Jiangbei District has made great efforts to promote the project construction, strengthen the environment improvement and improve the urban functions by adhering to the scientific development and industrial transformation and upgrading. In the first half of the year, the district completed a fixed assets investment of 18.23 billion yuan, up by 22.1% over the same period of last year, 10.5 percentage points higher than the average growth of the whole city. The GDP increased by 9.8%, ranking No.1 in the city, demonstrating a successful start of the economic development in the district.
