HISPASAT presents its pilot channel in UHDTV for America Comienza a emitir en abierto el canal de televisi n Hispasat 4K, ya operativo en Europa, en su cobertura para el centro y el norte de Am rica.
The Spanish operator of satellite communications HISPASAT ha presentado este lunes en NAB 2014 su canal piloto en Ultra Alta Definici n, Hispasat 4K.
El contenido emitido ser proporcionado en abierto por el sat lite Amazonas 3 en su cobertura para el centro y el norte del continente americano. El operador de sat lites confirma as su apuesta por la distribuci n de contenidos en 4K, tecnolog a en la que Hispasat est siendo pionera y cuenta con demostrada experiencia en Europa, donde emite contenidos UHD desde septiembre de 2013, cuando su canal 4K europeo fue presentado en la feria IBC de msterdam.
Ignacio Sanchis, CCO de Hispasat, ha adelantado que un futuro las emisiones de este canal piloto podr n seguirse tambi n en Sudam rica gracias a la cobertura que dar el nuevo Amazonas 4 lanzado a mediados de marzo.
En el proyecto Hispasat 4K participan otras empresas del sector como Dolby y Thomson, contando tambi n con Televisi n Espa ola en la producci n de algunos de los contenidos que se exhiben.
Es de destacar que un a o m s, el departamento de Ingenier a de Clientes de Hispasat estar presente en las conferencias que se organizan en el marco de este evento con una charla bajo el t tulo 4K Arrives! A Perspective from a Real UHDTV Broadcasting Experience, que tendr lugar el mi rcoles 9 de abril en el centro de convenciones.
