Los servicios OTT en televisi n y v deo experimentar n un importante auge de aqu a 2021. Seg n el ltimo informe de Digital Tv Research en 2021 podr a alcanzarse una facturaci n por encima de los 65.000 millones de d lares, cifra muy superior a los 4.470 millones registrados en 2010 o los 29.410, de 2015.
EE.UU. seguir siendo el territorio dominante para los ingresos de televisi n y video en l nea elevando la facturaci n de 8.240 mil millones a 22.820 millones de d lares entre 2015 y 2021. China a adir a esta facturaci n otros 6.240 millones de d lares, con uno ingresos totales que casi quintuplicar hasta llevar al pa s asi tico al segundo puesto.
El SVOD se convertir en la mayor fuente de ingresos para el a o 2018, pero el AVOD va a recuperar la primera posici n en 2020. Los servicios SVOD alcanzar n los 14.580 millones de d lares en ingresos entre 2015 y 2021, mientras que el AVOD superar los 15.370 millones de d lares.
El informe de Digital Tv Research resalta que la televisi n en l nea y la publicidad de v deo se ha incrementado en los ltimos a os debido al r pido crecimiento de la publicidad m vil. Este crecimiento continuar alcanzando un total mundial de 26.960 mil millones en 2021.
Los ingresos derivados de SVOD se elevar n de apenas 890 millones en 2010 a 11.130 mil millones en 2015 y en 25.710 millones en 2021. Esto significa que SVOD aportar el 40% de los ingresos totales al segmento de OTT en 2021, duplicando el 20% registrado en 2010.
