Rodolf Skobe, MSc is the New President of the management Board at Telekom Slovenije

Rodolf Skobe, MSc is the New President of the management Board at Telekom Slovenije Members of the Telekom Slovenije Supervisory Board, among other things, interviewed the candidates for the new president of the management board at today's session. Rudolf Skobe was the most convincing during his up-close and personal introduction, with his knowledge, vision, and credibility.

The supervisory board appointed the new president of the management board for the four-year term Rudolf Skobe. He will begin his term on 1 September, a day after the current president of the management board, Ivica Kranjevi, ends his career in business; he notified the supervisory board in April about his intention to retire on 1 September of this year.

Toma Berginc, President of the Supervisory Board of Telekom Slovenije, said after the appointment: Telekom Slovenije is a successful Slovenian enterprise that must be headed by top managers so that it can follow its strategic guidelines of being comparable to other successful European carriers. The personal introductions convinced the supervisory board members that Rudolf Skobe is the type of leader who brings together excellent knowledge both of domestic and international trends in the industry, exceptional technical skills, and the capability of leading a complex international system. His traits also include resolve and business aggressiveness. We believe that the new management board president and the Telekom Slovenije team will be able to achieve the high merits and expectations of the owners.

Rudolf Skobe, born 1973, holds a master's degree in business management and organization, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He has over 15 years of experience in operative and management functions in telecommunications and media. After graduating from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana he was employed in Telekom Slovenije as a systems engineer in the IT Sector. In 1998 he joined the SiOL unit, where he was in charge of sales and marketing, and the following year he became head of sales and marketing within in the operative unit and also in the newly-established company SiOL. He was involved in the establishment of the company as one of the authors of the initial business plan. Between 1999 and 2003 he served as a Supervisory Board Member. On August 1 2004 he was appointed manager of the sales and marketing sector, and has worked as company director of SiOL since 2006. He held the leading position at the company through all of its organizational changes, which led to today's appointment in TSMedia, which he will lead until accepting the mandate as President of the Management Board of Telekom Slovenije.
