Wayra, la aceleradora internacional de start-ups de Telef nica, ha anunciado la apertura de una nueva convocatoria global de proyectos con el fin de buscar nuevas propuestas de negocio en el rea de Internet y las nuevas tecnolog as.
Hasta el pr ximo 20 de octubre emprendedores de todo el mundo podr n presentar sus proyectos a trav s de esta Web para conseguir una plaza dentro de alguna de las seis academias Wayra que ofrecen plazas en esta convocatoria, en concreto las de Londres, M nich, Praga, Caracas, Lima y Buenos Aires.
Los negocios que Wayra decide acelerar tienen en com n el aprovechar las ventajas que Internet y las nuevas tecnolog as ofrecen para innovar. En esta convocatoria, se tendr n como ejes prioritarios productos y soluciones en las reas de soluciones verticales de Machine to Machine (M2M), Big Data y servicios de Media/Advertising, aunque no son excluyentes. Tras pasar un exhaustivo proceso de selecci n, los mejores proyectos podr n participar del programa de aceleraci n que les ofrece, entre otras cosas, financiaci n, la supervisi n permanente de mentores, formaci n y asesor a especializada, un espacio de trabajo para su equipo en la Academia Wayra y el potencial acceso a los negocios del grupo Telef nica. Asimismo, los emprendedores entrar n a formar parte del networking que Wayra ofrece con su red de inversores, partners y expertos en distintas partes del mundo.
Nacida en abril de 2011 con el objetivo de apoyar el crecimiento de la innovaci n y el emprendimiento tecnol gico, en apenas dos a os Wayra se ha consolidado como una de las aceleradoras m s importantes del mundo, con operaciones en doce pa ses de Am rica Latina y Europa. A lo largo de sus convocatorias ha recibido m s de veinte mil propuestas de negocio tecnol gicas de entre las cuales ha seleccionado m s de 295 nuevas empresas para ser aceleradas, que en conjunto suman 9,4 millones de euros de inversi n por parte de Telef nica.
Con esta nueva b squeda de talentos digitales, Wayra pretende reclutar cerca de 35 nuevas empresas para sus sedes de Reino Unido, Alemania, Rep blica Checa, Venezuela, Per y Argentina.
