Sony and TopVision have been carried out successfully 4K production and broadcast of Linkin Park concert held in Berlin thanks to the latest production technology of the Japanese manufacturer.
TopVision has been at the forefront of producing live sporting events and live entertainment for over two decades. The company, based in Berlin, and was a pioneer when HD and 3D stereo technology first appeared. On November 19, the manager Achim and his team manager Jendges marked another milestone with the first 4K live broadcast of a concert by the band "nu metal" Linkin Park.
A total of eleven production units were used directly with Sony PMW-F55 cameras for most of the production, while a PXW-FS7 recorded images to the making of.
After extensive and due to the high quality requirements of production tests, TopVision became the first European provider of broadcast invest in new server technology Hyperlink PWS-4400 Sony.
All 4K images will be sent via fiber optic cables directly to the mobile unit 2 of TopVision, optimized for HD / UHD production. There, the director created the live signal with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a frequency of 50 frames per second (2160p50) and graphics were added. The output of the final mixed program was sent to the SES Astra relay center in Unterf hring, Germany, through four fiber optic cables with an aggregate bandwidth of 12 Gigabits.
The concert was broadcast on a channel demonstration Astra open.

Achim Jendges manager TopVision director acknowledges that "the production of Linkin Park concert went smoothly without any technical problems and the results exceeded our expectations.
Meanwhile, Andreas Berghaus, head of Sonys live productions, also was enthusiastic in stating that "ultimately, the goal is to convey emotions concert and amaze viewers with exceptional images with the highest possible quality. This was achieved with great success in this production. Both the intensity of the limelight as many details of the configurable settings of the cameras were perfect for a production in high resolution. Really put the willies.
