Juvenile calligraphy and painting exhibition on Internet culture held

A juvenile calligraphy and painting exhibition on Internet culture, with the theme of "civilization and virtue", was held at the Huamao-Hilton Hotel at Dongqian Lake area on March 11. Through the demonstration of the deeds of the virtuous people in Ningbo and the civilization image of Ningbo in the calligraphy and painting works of the youth and children, the exhibition aims to spread the positive energy of green Internet civilization and promote the good morals of the society.

The exhibition, held by the Young Reporters Department of Ningbo Evening Paper, displays over 100 independently created works by the middle school or primary school students and pre-school children. As part of the series activities of 2017 "virtuous figures entering schools", the activity is supported by Ningbo Internet Information Office, Ningbo Civilization Office, Ningbo Daily Group, Ningbo Internet Culture Association, Huamao Education Group and the 117 Art Center of Ningbo Culture Center.

The works painted on the spot, in such forms as childrens pictures, cartoons, line drawings and clip art, focus on the green and healthy Internet civilization and the deeds of the distinctive virtuous figures in Ningbo. The virtuous figures include Lin Ping, who donated part of her liver to a little girl; the eight couriers, who caught with their bare hands a little girl falling from a tall building; the three generations of the Ye Zhongyangs family, who worked at the lighthouse in Zhenhai District; and Yu Fuling, the famous head of a residents committee in Haishu District. In other colorful and meaning works, the painters emphasized the importance of healthy use of Internet and reprimanded the uncivilized behaviors of indulging in Internet games and spreading rumors online.
