RA L AR VALO AND BRUNO GAGLIASSO WILL STAR IN SANTO, THE FIRST NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES FILMED BETWEEN SPAIN AND BRAZIL

Madrid, March 18th, 2021 - Netflix has announced today its latest original series: Santo, its first original project carried out by Spain and Brazil which will have Madrid and Salvador de Bah a as main shooting locations. The series, created by Carlos L pez (Hache, El pr ncipe, La embajada), will star Ra l Ar valo (Antidisturbios, The Fury of a Patient Man, Black Beach) and Bruno Gagliasso (O S timo Guardi o, Sol naciente, Babil nia). The shooting of Santo will start in April.

Miguel ngel Fern ndez (Tiempos de guerra, Desaparecidos) and Gustavo Lipsztein (Traves a mortal, Losing my Marbles) join the showrunner Carlos L pez as scriptwriters in this new series produced by Nostromo Pictures for Netflix and directed by Gonzalo L pez-Gallego (N boa, La zona, ngel o demonio) and Vicente Amorim (A Divis o, Romance Policial: Espinosa, Copa Hotel).

Santo is a thrilling crime, action and intriguing thriller series that sometimes resembles terror. It tells the story of Santo, the worlds most wanted drug dealer whose face has never been revealed. Two police officers who go after him, Cardona (Bruno Gagliasso) and Mill n (Ra l Ar valo), are initially radically opposed, but they will have to learn to collaborate and understand each other in order to solve the case and stay alive.

SANTO is like an earthquake with two simultaneous epicenters, one in Brazil and the other in Spain: the story of two policemen in two different continents who join paths to pursue a common enemy whose face has not yet been seen by anyone. The series is by itself a great challenge, but, thanks to the work of the high level team we counted on and the amazing cast, we'll be able to watch it as it was thought to be. Working with Ra l and Bruno also ensures that this trip will leave its mark on us , explains Carlos L pez, creator of the series. In addition, Ver nica Fern ndez, director of content for Netflix Spain says "Santo is a series that will surprise for the originality of its approach and for having a fast-paced narrative pulse. Bringing together Spanish and Brazilian talent has led to an explosion of creativity. Its a thriller that gives you goosebumps."
