The 5G will impact on production and distribution of content On the opening day of the 5 G Forum, Darko Ratkaj, Senior Project Manager of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU/UER), has analyzed the impact that will have the new mobile networks in the radio and television industry.

The 5g Forum, main meeting to analyse the implementation and the future of the 5G in Spain has begun Wednesday at the Polo Digital Content M laga, with the participation of the most important agents, companies and multinationals involved in their development in the Iberian peninsula.

For two days, and with thirty presentations, national and international experts of first level of twenty countries on four continents will share their knowledge, experiences and projects in the event dedicated to the 5 most important G which is celebrated in the South of Europe.

As it could not be otherwise, the broadcast industry is present in this meeting in order to analyze the impact that will have the new cellular networks in the production and distribution of content.

On the opening day of the 5 G Forum, Darko Ratkay, Senior Project Manager of the European Broadcasting Union)UER / Strike), has begun its intervention commenting on audiovisual services of the EBU to include 56 countries with an audience powers of more than one billion viewers who speak 162 languages.

It has also stressed the importance of public service broadcasting in the face to inform, educate and entertain with an open and free programming for all.

While the broadcast industry is today held in televisions and radios in open, payment services and hybrids, now a greater number of devices will gain weight generation of contents by users as well as the distribution at each time the Executive of the EBU has emphasized.

Sin embargo para que esto sea posible ser necesario una baja latencia as como asegurar la seguridad, la cobertura y el acceso al backhaul,

Ratkaj ha recordado que la UER cuenta con un grupo de discusi n sobre producci n de contenidos sobre 5G.

5G distribution En lo que a distribuci n de contenidos se refiere, desde la UER aseguran que el 5G supondr una oportunidad nica para introducir cambios que aseguren la disponibilidad universal de acceso and one regulaci n de los modelos de negocio.

Frente a los canales tradicionales de distribuci n (terrestre, sat lite y cables) la banda ancha puede llevar nuevos contenidos al espectador v a IP por fibra o 5G.

Darko Ratkajha se alado que para asegurar el uso del 5G para distribuci n de contenidos ser fundamental contar con redes que cumplan los requisitos de servicio, disponer de una amplia cobertura de la red (en todo el pa s) con capacidad suficiente en todas partes y que ofrezca alta fiabilidad, resistencia y seguridad. Y una cuesti n m s que ha subrayado que sea asequible para las radiotelevisiones p blicas

Tanto para broadcasters p blicos como privados, supondr una gran oportunidad de negocio. Ser una tecnolog a complementaria no sustitutiva de tecnolog as o plataformas actuales , ha firmado.

Por ltimo, ha recordado que los modelos de conectividad unicast sobre redes celulares no son adaptables a los modelos de negocio que necesitan los broadcatsers.
