SVG's Sports Content Management Forum returns to New York City on July 26 at the 230 Fifth Penthouse and will be headlined by a keynote presentation from Fox Sports' on their groundbreaking intelligent cloud-based MAM platform. AI and ML will also play heavily into the conversation, including a panel dubbed Practical Applications for AI in Media Management: The Death of Logging?'. Register now for a full day of sessions packed with media-management leaders from major sports broadcasters, leagues, teams, streaming outlets, and technology vendors.
Developed by the SCM Advisory Committee and its Chair Anne Graham (Manager of Strategy and Planning, Sports Media Services, Warner Bros. Discovery), this year's agenda will address the current state of the industry and how sports-media organizations can future-proof their content in an ever-changing world. Key topics will include adapting to remote and hybrid workflows, storage and archiving on prem and in the cloud, the rise of AI and ML, best practices in metadata assignment and management, MAM and orchestration planning, and much more.
Keynote Presentation: Inside Fox Sports' Intelligent MAM in the Cloud The morning agenda will feature a keynote presentation that delves inside the Fox Sports Intelligent MAM in the Cloud.' For several years, Fox Sports has been working with Google Cloud to develop a custom media management system that played an integral role in Fox's productions of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and Super Bowl LVII. Now, Fox will leverage the platform for its next globe-trotting monumental production: the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. SVP of Production Workflows Dustin Myers and VP of Media Workflows Reed Kaufman offer a dieep dive into how Fox is leveraging AI to better utilize its video library, how a cloud-first mindset creates more agility, and how this unique MAM ecosystem will expand in years to come.
Practical Applications for AI in Media Management: The Death of Logging?
The question of how AI and ML can be applied against vast media archives has taken center stage recently with the rise of OpenAI's ChatGPT and other generative AI tools. How can AI potentially change how leagues, broadcasters, teams, and other sports-content creators generate and manage content? What are the best practical use-cases and examples of where this technology could create efficiencies in content access and research? What are the risks, what are the benefits, and how will these tools play a role in your organization in the near-term? Leaders from CBS Sports, Fox Sports, PGA TOUR, Newsbridge, and Sony will take the stage to offer their insights on how AI and ML are changing the media-management landscape.
