Alph Lukau: Church behind resurrection have bizarrely changed their story

There's never a dull moment in this whole Pastor Alph Lukau fiasco: Not only are they at the mercy of upcoming legal action, but the Sandton-based Alleluia International Ministries Church has also been the subject of some hilarious criticism from the online community.

Earlier on Tuesday, three funeral parlours roped into the service said they would be suing Alleluia for lying to them. This came just before the #ResurrectionChallenge had the internet dying with laughter before coming back to life again, of course.

Two representatives for the church have told the publication that the revived corpse later identified as a man called Elliott had only come back to life while he was on his way to the funeral. One of the officials said that the hearse driver fled in panic when he heard the coffin rattling, contradicting claims that Lukau performed a miracle.

According to this brain's trust, the man died on Friday and was being taken north of the border to his funeral when the family just so happened to decide this was an opportune moment to visit the Pastor.

Wouldn't you know it, as they approached the church, the kicking and screaming started before Lukau helped to finish the miracle. You couldn't make it up Well, you could. Because these guys have.

Alph Lukau conspiracy theories The church's statement comes just as the conspiracy rumours have begun to swirl. First of all, Twitter had about a million questions over the ceremony itself, which had a red carpet feature and a live presentation. Did we also mention that Alph Lukau was escorted to the venue by the police? Yeah, there's nothing dodgy about that.
